About Kyle
I am proud to be your neighbor in Lafayette with my wife Mary Ann, and our pup, Korra.
We are building our life here because we love this community, its small-town feel, vibrancy, and neighbors who look out for each other.
I bring nearly two decades of U.S. national security and foreign policy experience, having served at the FBI, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and State Department. I’ve worked in counterterrorism operations, shaped policies to prevent violent extremism, conducted diplomacy overseas, responded to humanitarian crises, and built coalitions across government and international partners.
I have a bachelor’s and master’s in political science and international relations from UNC Chapel Hill, and I was a Fulbright Scholar to Austria and a Rotary Peace Fellow to Uganda. I’m a certified conflict mediator and practiced facilitator with deep experience in bridging divides and delivering results.
I love exploring Lafayette’s incredible nature so much that I became a Community Naturalist through Denver Audubon. I’m also an avid native plant gardener, and a crowning achievement was getting a Coal Creek Pollinator District Certified Habitat from the Friends of Coal Creek! I’m also an amateur local wildlife photographer, and dedicated local hiker.
I’d be honored to earn your vote to help build a more affordable, more inclusive, and more resilient Lafayette.
