Working for a stronger, more affordable Lafayette—for everyone.
Hi! I’m Kyle, and I’m running for Lafayette City Council on the November 4th ballot to champion a vision for our community that emphasizes affordability, pragmatism, resilience, and preservation of our environment and character.
Lafayette is an extraordinary place to live, but we are facing serious challenges in our community, region, and nationally. I will help strengthen Lafayette by advocating for everyone’s rights, improving affordability, supporting small and local businesses, building resilience and safeguarding Lafayette against wildfire risk and environmental harms.
I want to leverage my deep policy and operational experience (from USAID, FBI, and the State Department) to work for Lafayette’s success, by drawing from:
My experience shaping policy to prevent and counter violent extremism overseas and at home, has equipped me to work with Lafayette’s departments, Boulder Valley School District, law enforcement, and other key stakeholders to address the increase in violence and violent ideology we are seeing.
My time supporting humanitarian assistance and disaster recovery in Syria after U.S. troops liberated millions from ISIS rule has provided me with the tools to help prepare Lafayette for potential future wildfires.
My roles developing broad coalitions to effect policy change at the U.S. National Security Council and across the U.S. government have honed a skillset that will be critical for a City Councilor building partnerships.
Why am I running?

How can you help?
There are three key ways you can help my campaign:
Reach out to me and let me know what matters to you! The most fun part about my first time running for office is talking with neighbors about how to improve our great little city.
Spread the word by telling your friends, family, and neighbors about this campaign, sharing our social media, and getting energized by local politics. Real change doesn’t happen on Change.org, it happens day-by-day, in person and online, with one another.
If you are able, please consider donating a few dollars, but honestly, your time and chatting with your neighbors about the election would be just as valuable! But if you can, I’d greatly appreciate it, via the link below:
Wondering when and how you can vote for Lafayette City Council?
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4.
You can vote by mail ballot or in person, and you can vote for four City Council candidates!
Make sure you are registered to vote in Lafayette here
You can mail in your ballot by October 28, or drop your ballot at the Lafayette Public Library or the Southeast County Community Hub from October 10-November 4.
Alternatively, you can vote in-person at the Southeast County Community Hub.
And hey— if I’m not the candidate for you, that’s okay! Please still make sure to vote so that we can increase Lafayette’s voter turnout in non-national election years!
I’m really excited about a lot of the other Lafayette City Council candidates; learn about the other candidates here.
